The Sunday Drum Circle on Siesta Beach
Every Sunday near sunset, drummers and dancers gather on Siesta Beach. Everyone is welcome.
Siesta Key has a weekly tradition that feels like it belongs to everyone: the Sunday drum circle. Late in the afternoon, drummers gather on the sand of Siesta Beach and play as the sun sinks toward the Gulf.
It starts loose and builds. Dancers join in, kids hop around the edges, hula hoops spin and strangers trade smiles. Bring a drum, a tambourine or nothing at all. There is no stage and no ticket, just rhythm and a crowd that keeps growing until the sun goes down.
Afterward, walk into Siesta Key Village for dinner and live music. It is one of the best ways to spend your last night of vacation.
